Soon after, he saved King Foltest&#39;s life when the monarch was attacked by a witcher-like assassin. He continues to protect the king, servinghis bodyguardFoltest strives to bring peace to his kingdom. The Order&#39;s last bastions have yielded to the royal army, yet one more task remains - the Baroness La Valette announced her secession from the realm, and her fortress must be taken. A month after the attempted assassination, Foltest&#39;s armies stand at the gates of La Valette Castle, preparing for a final assault. Still at Foltest&#39;s side, Geralt is among them, unable to begin his personal quest to discover the mysterious assassin&#39;s origin and identity… Although &#39;The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings&#39; happens to be my least favourite game in the trilogy, I still found it very enjoyable. It begins with a very exciting introduction, and the new combat system is well-explained in the opening quests. Also rather early in the game we meet the antagonist of &#39;Assassins of Kings&#39;.<br/><br/>My favourite of all the &#39;Witcher&#39; villains is from this second instalment: Letho of Gulet. Letho is a man of colossal proportions, and matches his incredible power with a sharp, cunning mind. Some of the other characters introduced in this game are also rather memorable, but none so muchLetho. The perfectly written villain is just one element of a very good story.<br/><br/>These days, we&#39;re all familiar with RPGs offering players a choice. We were also very familiar with this feature five years ago when this game released. Still, none of the games I&#39;ve played have offered a choice quitesignificantone of the ones presented in this game, in which your selection will change at least 6-8 hours of gameplay.<br/><br/>I wish this game had beenopen to explorethe other &#39;Witcher&#39; games, and I think more investment in side quests could have been made. Still, play &#39;Assassins of Kings&#39; and you&#39;ll be signing up for a first-rate fantasy adventure, full of highly entertaining battles and well-written, well-acted characters. These places evolve base on your decisions and will growyour character grows, combat is fast paced and can best be describedAAA version of the Gothic series with just a little bit of Assassin Creed thrown in. Tactics will also play a role in the game playyou can buy and craft armor, bombs, potions and traps, all which can play a decisive role in combat.<br/><br/>Story: You playGeralt the White Wolf, part of an order of warriors knowWitcher&#39;s, Witchers are created through alchemy and magic and their sole purpose in life is to protect mankind from monsters. So when Geralt has to save a King from a assassin he was shocked to learn that the assassin was a Witcher also. Geralt must now go on a journey to clear his name and discover the reason behind the assassination attempt. His journey will be shaped by your decision&#39;s.<br/><br/>Graphics: The best looking RPG of 2011 period, if you are worried about the poor optimization that the Witcher 1 had do not fret, the Witcher 2 is completely optimized. I only have 1 5850 and can run the game on Ultra.<br/><br/>Overall: Witcher 2 will go downpossibly the best RPG of 2011 and in my personal opinion crushes all competition so far. Any RPG fan will be disappointed if they do not buy this game.<br/><br/>Thank you for reading and hopefully you have the same enjoyment that I had with the Witcher 2.
